Benefit has been in the brow game for years but it never really stood up for me until now. They released new products with packaging that are much more attractive! I’m in love with the circus-themed silver packaging of all their brow products! I picked up the Goof Proof Brow Pencil and without a doubt, the product itself is good too! Let’s all get into the details!
The claim is to get waterproof brows that will also last 12 hours. The diamond shaped tip makes it stay always sharp. This product is similar to the famous Anastasia Brow Definer and the Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil. I wouldn’t know if they are dupes but it’s very similar in shape.
Staying true to the claim, it does glide on smoothly and very pigmented. There is nothing too special about this brow pencil since a lot of companies have come out with this type of brow product. It’s good and it works. I could say that this cuts my brow application time in half because of the shape of the tip. Its ergonomically shaped tip is designed to fill in more surface area of the brows a lot faster. For a person who has very sparse brows, this tip is beneficial for me. If you have thicker brows, the skinny tip might work better for you, like these.
I did wear it for 12 hours and was impressed that it didn’t move. I must say that that day was a pretty cold day, so oil and sweat didn’t come through. It is waterproof but as usual, it’s not sweat and oil-proof. If you do sweat a lot and have oily skin, this wouldn’t last that long.
It only comes in 6 colours so I picked up the shade 04 Medium. I’m a Medium Brown in Anastasia and I think this shade is a good colour match.
I’m wearing the Goof Proof Brow Pencil here so you can see how it looks like when it’s on the brows.
- Teardrop/Diamond shape makes for faster application
- No sharpener needed
- The packaging is everything!
- Glides smoothly
- Lasted for 12 hours indeed (without sweating too much and not touching it at all. lol)
- Tip might be too thick to create sharp and defined lines.
- Not budge proof
- Price: C$30 – I don’t think I would repurchase this because of that price tag!
Has anybody else tried this?
Thanks for dropping by!
